Why oh Why?

It has not stopped snowing in days...the winter depression is setting in....last night it took me 20 minutes to get out of my parking lot. I was sliding around everywhere, I am so glad that instead of buying new tires like they told me to I bought 6 pairs of designer jeans. That was oh so smart (I don't regret my decision, that's the bad news). Anyways, so as I am sliding around in the Passat getting so mad because it has taken me 30 minutes to go 10 blocks I decide to call my mom and here's our conversation:

Me: Mom, can you remind me why the hell I live here?
Mom: Oh, I have seen the weather! It looks horrible.
Me: It is, seriously what the hell am I doing here?
Mom: Well, it's where your job is. And you should feel lucky that you are one of the few Americans that has job security right now and that you are able to provide for yourself and still pay for your lifestyle.
Me: Oh....right.

Me- 0
Mom- 1

Suddenly the drive, the ice, the snow, the tires didn't seem so bad.

i hate the snow. snow causes accidents and accidents cause lisa to be sitting at home carless with nothing to do...i guess you can be thankful that you still have a car. i do not.

This was a good day to post such a thought . . . since you know what I'm going through today. It's true-happy-ish, healthy, good job, and a home. Can't stand the snow though. Seriously it's only my family that keeps me here (not even Ansen's job) and if i could talk them all into moving with me . . . I might have something to work on here.

Aren't Mom's so wise. I always call mine and know exactly what she'll say, "You'll figure it out..." but for some reason I always call and it always makes me feel better to hear her tell me. Oh, and we just got 4 new tires and now my steering wheel doesn't shake violently when I drive. I feel like I got a new car. Plus I got some new jeans...not designer, but from my ultimate favorite store so I still feel like a champion.

I have felt the same way! Phoenix is sounding so nice right now. I know for sure that when I am retired I will have a vacation home somewhere warm that I can go to in the winter. At least your family lives in Cali, I would move there for sure. I wish my family would move somewhere warm so we could follow. Carl's job can pretty much go anywhere! I feel your pain girl!

Funny. I was just complaining about the 1/4 inch of snow we got here. I'm such a boob. From what I hear Utah is getting pounded. Job or no Job, you have every right to complain.

Oh and I was just catching up on Karrissa's blog and noticed you and Lisa did not go to the friends THS party. Too good?

Okay in my defense, I did validate her feelings for a few minutes before I reminded her of her good job! I really do feel your pain, especially since dad just took me to the beach where it was sunny, clear and beautiful. It was near 70 there today...amazing, and dad got me some uugs for my b-day to keep my feet warm!

It's always sunny in Vegas (hint)... Except for the two times it snowed already this season.
