Today I was at Walmart returning some things and I had on what I thought was a pretty cute outfit. A black pencil skirt and a tucked in blue and white button down that ties in the front (I promise I am getting somewhere with this). So we start talking and the convo goes like this:
Hispanic Walmart Lady: I like your outfit
Me: Thanks
HWL: What airline do you work for?
Me: What's that?
HWL: What airline do you work for?
Me: Oh I work for USU
HWL: Oh, your outfit looks like a flight attendants.....
I was getting a coke last year around Halloween at a Gas Station and I had another pretty funny convo with the cashier. This involved a white button down.Cashier: I love your shirt
Me: Thank you
Cashier: Seriously, it is so cute where did you get it?
Me: To be honest, I got it a couple years ago so I don't remember. But I kind of think its from Target or something.
Cashier: I will have to go look because it looks likes just like this shirt I want for me pirate costume....
So next time you see me, please don't be worried if I greet you with an, "Arr me matey." Or if I offer you peanuts, biscoff cookies or peanut butter crackers, ask you to put your chair in the upright position or kindly show you your exits (don't forget, sometimes the nearest exit is behind you). It's not me talking...it's the clothing.

That is hilarious, I had already heard the pirate story first hand, but the flight attendant is equally funny and/or demeaning.
Ok CLEARLY these people don't know anything about fashion so what do you care anyway? I really only like compliments about my clothes when they are from people who I know know how to dress...

Funny. I think you always look great. I did notice your fab diamond earrings on Friday.
and there was nothing flight-attendant or pirate about them.
So random you would pick Delta's new flight instructions lady for the picture. I have been on maybe 6-7 flights in the last month and I could not help but notice this woman every time. Not that she's weird looking or even unreasonably attractive or anything, there is just something about her that is eerie to me. Agreed?

That story gets me every time, I love it. PS -I'd take it as a compliment if someone working at WM didn't get my outfit, no offense WM workers!
