My Dad was in town all last week "for a DR's visit" since apparently they don't have DR's in California. Imagine that. But we had such a great visit, we got Ol' Daddy-O all to ourselves for 6 days! To be honest, I can't remember the last time I got to spend 1-1 time with my Dad because every time I see him everyone is home for the holiday's and let's be honest I can not compete with the grand kids. We had such a fun time and here are some of my favorites:-The Valley Center Playhouse. How could we miss seeing a Halloween Production at VCPH when he's in town? Thank you Hotel Frankenstein...my abs are still recovering from the terrible acting, bad sound effects, smelly chairs, and the horrible costumes! Love it.
-We also went to the Body World Exhibit Downtown. I am not going to go on and on about it but if you have not gone to this exhibit you need to go! It was absolutely amazing and I promise you are not going to be grossed out or weirded out. Trust me, do you remember what happened last time I got my blood taken? Hello I am 25 and I passed out. So if I can handle it I PROMISE you can.
-Mi Ranchito, Crown Burger and a little Taco Shop. At the Taco Shop we met my grandparents and my Uncle Matt and his...girlfriend?(not sure the status there) Anyways, my grandparents lack some tact at times and they kept referring to my Uncle Matt (while he is sitting there) as the "Black Sheep" of the family to which he just raised the roof. So yeah...
-Several trips to Ross, TJ Max and Gen-X Clothing. He did find the above "Big Lebowski" shirt for himself along with a "My-Space Stalker" T-shirt. Creepy? Yes. Funny, absolutely. Then he found this little treasure for Hannah, I must say I think it's one of his best finds:
No the mustard yellow hoodie is his. But this "Fallen Angel" shirt equipped with white trash tattooed scary man with angel wings and a clown face (naturally) belongs to you Hannah. To be honest I just don't feel like this picture even does it justice. He did get me a fantastic shirt as well...picture pending. And he was able to find this Annalee for my mom. He always makes fun of all of us because my mom always holds her hand out like this and apparently we ALL do it now.
We did have some fantastic times equipped with lots and lots and lots of laughing and joking and some great chats! I sure love you Dad, thanks for making the time to visit the "DR" and I can't wait for your next "appointment"

Oh so fun! I wish I could have joined you for Hotel Frankenstein. You dad would be so funny to go with. I love the shirts, I seriously can't get over how funny it is!!
Glad you had such fun with daddy-o. I was trying to be a saint and not be jealous that I had to stay home, but then I got the anna lee and was all better! Mmmmm. mi ranchito sure sounds good about now!

Yeah those shirts he got me were definately some treasures! I had taken the ACT the day dad got home and was totally out of it after the test so I was asleep on the love sack. Dad could not wait to hand them to me so he comes over kicks the love sack until I wake up then hands me these shirts! I was still waking up. Then he asks me which one I am going to wear out with my friends. HMM sorry dad I dont think that they will be making it out into public! But thanks for the great pajama shirts!
It was a great visit for sure. Thanks Katie and Kristine for the good times. If you have not seen Hotel Frankenstein by now, to late. Maybee nest year. Go see the Christmas pagent. I am hoping some of the Tenneys will recreate their roles from the past.
Even though I'd heard all of this already, the recap, and especially the picture of the clown shirt, truly did NOT disappoint. Hilarious.
friend, your dad cracks me up and i've never even met him! all your posts on him are hilarious and it makes me see where you get your sense of humor! i miss you, we need to catch up. i wish i got you all to myself...
